The BRICS Astronomy community is thrilled to announce that they will be exhibiting at the 32nd International Astronomical Union (IAU) General Assembly, held in Cape Town, South Africa!

This is a monumental occasion on two fronts.  First, it marks the  IAU-GA’s historic first gathering on African soil.  South Africa, as a proud member of the BRICS+ group, is honoured to play host to this prestigious event.  Second, BRICS+ participation underscores our collective commitment to advancing astronomical research and fostering international collaboration. This invite is also extended to the individuals who would like to assist at the booth so as to make sure that our presence is truly representative of the diversity in the collaboration.

A Call to BRICS+ Nations!

We invite researchers, institutions, astronomy outreach education and development professionals, and astronomy enthusiasts from BRICS+ countries who will be attending the IAU-GA to showcase their groundbreaking work at the dedicated BRICS+ Astronomy booth.

This is an exceptional opportunity to:

  • Highlight groundbreaking research: Share your latest discoveries and innovations with a global audience of leading astronomers.
  • Forge new collaborations: Connect with fellow researchers, institutions, and funding agencies across the BRICS+ bloc and beyond.
  • Champion astronomy in BRICS+ nations: Showcase the vibrant astronomy landscape within the BRICS group and inspire the next generation of astronomers.

Please note: If you prefer to have your own exhibition booth, then you can still make arrangements, see more information here: https://astronomy2024.org/exhibitions/
